College students: iPod more popular than beer.

According to an article on CNN.com, the iPod is currently more popular than beer on college campuses. If you are Apple, this makes you very happy. According to CNN, "The only other time beer was temporarily dethroned in the 18 years of the survey was in 1997 -- by the Internet." Crazy. By the way, I predicted that this would happen back in 2001 and some people told me I was crazy. Who's crazy now? In response to the article, Steve Jobs was quoted as saying "iRule." Not the Pitts

CNN's travel section has quite the nice little article on Pittsburgh. The article touches on some of the cool places to hit, while at the same time missing a lot of fun things to do. My piece of advice if you do ever end up in Pittsburgh is to listen to the article and take a visit to the Church Brew Works. You won't be disappointed. Check out the article here: Cutting-edge Pittsburgh

Hellomoto

Motorola apparently is readying the follow up to the ever popular RAZR. While the RAZR is plenty thin, it is also plenty wide, causing many people to complain. I personally don't mind the width, but for those who can't deal with it, a new phone, codenamed the "Canary," may strike your fancy. Is this phone the RAZR II, the rumored upcoming thinner and ridiculously named SCPL (Scalpel, haha...), or something that will never see the light of day? That's for the powers that be at Moto to decide, but it is a pretty cool looking phone. More info at Mobile Guerilla.

Funny Road Signs

I am stealing this idea from Bng, but I don't care....I saw these street signs on the web and I thought one was especially timely since today should be the apocalypse! Ooooh 6/6/06...SCARY! So here is why these signs are relevant on this satanic day in history: a) Route 666 (Go Keystone State!) would be the highway to hell we will all be taking when shizzle hits the fan shortly. b) Cattle falling from the sky will be a key part of the apocalypse. These are some of my favorite signs.

Super!

So the Steelers finally got their Super Bowl rings and I have to say, I really like the design. They are pretty cool looking for a gaudy, oversized ring. In fact, this makes me want to jump ship from my company and work for a team that could win a championship so that I could one day get a championship ring for doing nothing. That said, the rings sure are nice, but the Steelers better forget they have them and get ready to put a hurting on the AFC once again this fall. Check out more info here. Sony announces DSLR

Sony is finally entering the Digital SLR market. I have always been a supporter of Sony's digital cameras and I am looking forward to trying out this SLR when it hits stores. Unfortunately, Sony has issues keeping their memory stick format the same from year to year. Basically, this means that those of you already sporting large Memory Stick Pros like myself, will now have to shell out even more money to buy a Memory Stick Pro Duo or a Compact Flash card. Of course, these are expensive cameras, so it makes sense to do some research first. These sites are already offering previews of the camera based on the pre-production versions:
